THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and emotionally resilient Therapeutic Support Manager to guide our Children and Young People in Adelaide.

The focus and purpose of this role is to provide excellent case management support to Children and Young People, families, significant others, and relevant stakeholders within our Supported Independent Living Services program, ‘My Life, My Way’. The children and young people you support are preparing to transition to independent living, the program will focus on a holistic approach to skilling young people up to make great life choices.  

In this role you will enable our children and young people to improve their quality of life, participation in the community, ensure that service delivery is person-centred. You will achieve this by fully utilising a therapeutic framework focussing on strengths-based intervention and support.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Community Services, Psychology or similar
  • Relevant Management experience of Children and Young People in Out of Home Care who have complex care needs due to trauma based background and/or disability
  • Experience managing staff who regularly face crisis situations in the course of their work.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience to work within the relevant legislation, OOHC Standards, policies, and procedures
  • Capacity to apply culturally appropriate practices with Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse communities
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other services, and to receive feedback and guidance
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current drivers licence
